Overview
The “RAHD” research project is concerned with the development of a new type of hydrogen storage and electric drive function solution for use in agricultural vehicles. The overarching goal is to decarbonize agriculture and make fuel cell technology usable for agricultural and forestry applications.
Motivation:
- CO2 reduction (decarbonization) in agriculture and forestry
- Utilization of fuel cell drive technology for agricultural applications
Aims of the project:
- Creation of additional storage potential in heavy-duty commercial vehicles
- Cost-effective, sustainable use of an electric drive motor for agricultural and forestry vehicles
- Transferability of the project results to other heavy-duty applications
Duration: 1st of September 2023 until 31st of August 2026
